Give yourself a Better Vision of the Future

Europe’s leading Laser Eye Clinic

Thousands of successful Lasik procedures since 1998

Latest technology investment in the New Intralasik with Wavefront!

What is laser eye surgery?

The alternative to glasses and contact lenses, laser vision correction is used to change the refraction of the cornea that will result in giving permanent clear vision. Using the latest in laser technology, a brief painless outpatient procedure could eliminate or significantly reduce your dependence on corrective lenses.

EYE CLINIC

Located in the Health Spa Resort Margaret Island, Budapest is the Focus Medical Eye Clinic.

Focus Medical has been a leader in eye microsurgery for over 10 years and are renowned for their precision, reliability and modern technology.

Using laser vision correction they have helped thousands of people regain the pleasure of achieving clearer sight without the need of spectacles.

The clinic has become one of Europe’s leading eye clinics by having performed most laser vision correction procedures as new technologies have evolved, including PRK and LASIK. Focus now offers the latest break through in eye technology - IntraLasik.

IntraLasik – the only complete laser procedure
(also known as FemtoLasik, Intralase, LaserLasik)

  • Better Vision
  • Better Results
  • Complete safety
  • Pain Free

Vision correction laser eye surgery has been in existence for over 15 years. Based on tens of millions of interventions performed worldwide, we know that vision correction is permanent and the results achieved by laser lasts a lifetime.

So far, no procedure has been able to couple maximum safety with complete painlessness and immediate results.

The original PRK surgery was completely safe, but the few days post operation was quite uncomfortable and sometimes painful. It also took several days before seeing any results from the procedure. The later surface ablation technique, the LASEK, did try to reduce pain and discomfort, but was not successful in achieving these goals.

The Lasik surgery achieved quick and painless results but fell short of maximum safety. The flap created by the special blade tool, microkeratome, caused complications, mainly during the surgery itself.
Therefore patients were forced to choose between discomfort and safety. Now you are free from compromising, IntraLasik combines the advantages PKR and Lasik procedures without their disadvantages. It is totally painless, offers fast results and is completely safe.

What makes Intralasik safe?

You can find many technical sites on the internet explaining the different procedures. However, in simple terms Lasik essentially uses a blade to create an opening for excimer laser correction to be performed.

Intralasik does not use a blade, it utilises a computer controlled femtosecond laser. The cutting of the protective flap is planned by computer and performed by laser with amazing accuracy, with a precision of one thousanth of a millimetre. The computer individually plans a precise protective flap for each patient. The result being that when the flap is folded back it will secure far more quickly than conventional Lasik, with permanent lasting effect, eliminating any safety risk.

Wavefront Technology

Focus Medical is proud to announce the provision of wavefront technology.

Wavefront-guided Lasik is a new technology that provides an advanced method for measuring optical distortions in the eye. Measuring and treating these distortions goes beyond nearsighted, farsighted, and astigmatism determinations that have been used for centuries. As a result, physicians can now customise the Lasik procedure according to each individual patient’s unique vision correction needs. The treatment is unique to each eye, just as a fingerprint is unique. The wavefront system works by measuring how light is distorted as it passes into the eye and then is reflected back. This creates an optical map of the eye, highlighting individual imperfections.

Wavefront technology offers the patients sharper, crisper, better quality vision, as well as a reduction in night time vision difficulties, such as halos and glare. Wavefront is an adjunct tool used to enhance an already safe and effective IntraLasik procedure.

COSTS

Intralasik + wavefront (per eye) = 850 euros (approx £602)
